Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known by his name KK, was known for songs like ‘Pal’ and ‘Yaaron’, which were huge hits among teenagers in the late 1990’s. KK started her career singing for commercial jingles. Tadap Tadap Ke (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1999), Tamil song “Aapdi Podu”, “Dola Re Dola” from Devdas (2002), “Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai” from Wo Lamhe, Dus Bahane (Dus, 2005), Om “Aankhon Mein Teri” from Shanti Om (2007), “Khuda Jaane” from Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), “Piya Aaye Na” from Aashiqui 2 (2013), “Mat Ajma Re” from Murder 3 (2013), Happy New One by one hit songs like “India Wale” from the Year (2014) and “Tu Jo Mila” from Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and Tune Meri Entry (Gunde, 2014) have been credited to KK’s account.
He was born in Delhi and was also known for his electric live shows. His Instagram page was just sharing updates of his concert in Kolkata eight hours ago. He has received six Filmfare Award nominations, and the Southern Filmfare Award. KK has recorded songs in other languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali.
