In July-August 2020, when the first Covid Lockdown was partially unlocked but cinemas were denied permission, many producers started showing their stagnant movies on OTT media. Khuda Hafeez was one such movie. Vidyut Jamwal is an action hero. The producers and directors of the same movie have now come up with the second part of ‘Khuda Hafeez-2 Agni Pariksha’. Khuda Hafeez is definitely a fiery test for the audience because of its non-innovative storyline, easy predictions of what will happen next. If you only go to see the stunts of Vidyut Jammwal, your Hafeez will not be the savior.
The story unfolds after the first episode in which Sameer Chaudhary (Vidyut Jammwal) rescues his heroine, Nargis (Shivalika Oberoi). Nargis and Sameer have now returned to Lucknow. But after a year of physical abuse, Nargis is still in a state of shock and is undergoing treatment. On the advice of Nargis’s doctor that it is dangerous to be a mother in such a situation, Sameer brings his close friend’s five-year-old niece, whose parents have died in an accident, to his house. Her name is Nandini (Riddhi Sharma). Sameer hopes Nandini will help Nargis get out of this mental dilemma. Slowly Nargis comes out of this too but misfortune hinders her again. While kidnapping a 15-year-old girl from Nandini’s school, the kidnappers also abduct Nandini along with the girl. The main person involved in the abduction is the minor grandson of Thakur ji (Shiba Chadha), a notorious domineering personality in the city. The pressure slows down the police investigation and unfortunately Nandini ends up being physically abused in the meantime. From now on, this is the story of how Sameer takes revenge on all these villains.
As mentioned at the outset, Revenge Drama is not a novelty at all. In the meantime, the film lingers in many places. Action star Vidyut Jamwal’s action scenes are to be shown to the audience, but In this mess, director Farooq Kabir has ignored the script. Some of the action scenes and some of the post-rape scenes are disturbing. There are many errors in the script. Nargis’s character is very flawed, and she seems to behave in a very mysterious way. Shivalika did the job well. Apart from the action scenes, actor Vidyut Jamwal could not make much impact in any other occasion. Shiba Chadha’s performance as a villain has been effective but this character could not achieve the desired result. The action scenes are especially breaking into the RAW genre so the mass audience will love it. The cinematography is good, but the music is disappointing.
If you are a fan of Vidyut Jamwal’s action, then only plan to watch this movie, otherwise be ready for the ordeal.
