Veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak, best known for his role as Nattu Kaka in Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma, passed away today. He was 77 years old. Asit Kumar Modi, the creator of Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma, tweeted the news of Ghanshyam Nayak’s demise. Ghanshyam Nayak had been suffering from cancer for many days.

Ghanshyam Nayak has acted in about 100 Gujarati and Hindi films and about 350 Hindi serials and has acted in more than 100 Gujarati plays. He has sung in more than 12 Gujarati films with veterans like Asha Bhosale and Mahendra Kapoor. He has dubbed more than 350 Gujarati films.
