A few days ago, Anupam Shyam was helped by people associated with Bollywood and the entertainment industry after the news of his deteriorating health came out. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit announced his death on social media. He wrote that the film and TV industry has suffered huge losses.
According to reports, Anupam Shyam was shooting for the second season of Star India’s show Pratidnya. But he was already suffering from many ailments. He was undergoing treatment at Life Line Hospital in Mumbai. He died of multiple organ failure. He breathed his last at around 8 pm. Anupam Shyam had acted in films like Dastak, Hazar Chaurasi Ki Maa, Dushman, Satya, Dil Se, Jakhm, Sangharsh, Lagaan, Nayak, Shakti, Paap, Jignasa, Raj, Weldon, Abba, Wanted, Kajrare and… Munna Michael.

He had also acted in several TV series. In his most popular TV show Pratigya, he played the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh. His role had such an impact on people that people started copying him. Children were seen wearing mustaches and talking in the same way. The life of this veteran actor, who has acted in many big films, was very sad. Even after falling ill, Anupam Shyam continued with his work till the end and he continued acting.
Anupam Shyam was born on 20 September 1957 in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. His schooling took place in Pratapgarh. He studied theater at the Bharatendu Natya Academy in Lucknow. He later worked at the Shri Ram Center Theater in Delhi. He then enrolled at the National School of Drama. Anupam Shyam got mostly negative roles in films. He also acted in some international films. Among them are The Little Buddha and Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire. In this film, Anupam played a character who used to blind children to beg. He was also an important part of Shekhar Kapoor’s Bandit Queen. He also starred in The Warrior and The Thread. His roles in Hindi films include Shakti, Halla Bol aur Raktacharit, Parzania, Das Kapital, Pan Singh Tomar, Hazar Chaurasi Ki Maa, Dushman, Satya, Dil Se, Jakhm, Kachhe Dhaage, Takshak, Tornado, Nayak, Kasur, Lagaan and Lajja, remained in the discussion.
